Brett Outchcunis

Brett is a professional entertainer, motivator, dancer and DJ rolled into one, compact package. He's been entertaining and motivating audiences since 1999.

His assembly programs cater to elementary and middle school students and focuses on making positive life choices for a healthy state of mind and spirit.

Through the use of comedy, story-telling, creative moment, music and yo-yo antics, Ooch is able to connect quickly and deeply with his audiences. He uses this light-hearted combination of skills to deliver messages and techniques that give his audiences, "Skills FOR LIFE" and memories for a lifetime!

Brett graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a degree in Communication in 1998.

Directly out of college he was scooped up by Yomega Corporation, a yo-yo company based out of Fall River, MA. and became a touring yo-yo professional. During that time, he taught dance (part-time) and auditioned for the Boston run of STOMP, making it to the third and final call back!

After 5 years of touring and performing for the yo-yo company, Brett decided to start his own entertainment company called Ninepoints Entertainment (now known as the Ooch Experience). He spends the academic year traveling to different schools in the New England area speaking to students on topics ranging from positive life choices to academic excellence.

During the summer months you can catch him doing public shows for families via resorts, libraries, camps, rec centers and scouting events.

Brett also visits corporations speaking on the importance of fun in the workplace and why it's important to re-capture the wonders of imagination before it's too late.

As a bit of a side-job and hobby, Brett DJs parties of all types.

Brett offers school assembly programs that will fit your school's needs. His shows consist both of educational content (fitting state curriculum standards) AND fill in the grey areas surrounding morals and "social assets" that kids often don't get enough exposure to. He uses comedy, story-telling, yo-yos, music, creative movement, audience participation and enthusiasm as the vehicles to capture his audience and more importantly, get the content across to the kids in a manner they will enjoy and remember for years to come.
